Julie Bale Vocal Coach
Julie is a highly experienced teaching practitioner. Her private practice is sought after and she holds a number of prestigious teaching /consulting posts. She has been the Resident Vocal Coach with the London Oriana Choir since 2016.
Her teaching career began, after gaining a PGCE from Goldsmith's College, University of London, as a peripatetic teacher in both state and independent schools in Harrow and Watford. From 2007-2013 she founded and ran The Singing School, Bushey. This was a project focussing on both school age students as well as adults. Julie created a Beginners' Course - a stand-alone 6 session course which took aspiring singers with no training whatsoever through a taster of singing technique. This course was an enormous success and over 200 people have taken the course and begun a love of singing!
She is currently developing and trialing a vocal technique course aimed at Choral Singers, an area she has become hugely interested in since becoming a conductor and leading choirs.
Julie's current teaching encompasses both one to one lessons as well as giving group lessons and workshops for choirs on the subjects of Vocal Technique, Overcoming Performance Anxiety and facilitating Positive Singing Groups as well as Master Classes and vocal technique for Choral Singers.
Due to her increasing singing and teaching commitments Julie now works with advanced students, and has limited daytime availability only.
Julie's teaching style focuses on developing a solid technique, whilst nurturing performance and interpretation skills. A holistic approach to voice production, which empowers the student and allows for experimentation and fun!
