Julie Bale Vocal Coach

Julie is a highly experienced vocal coach. Her private practice is highly sought after and She currently holds the post of Resident Vocal Coach with the London Oriana Choir .

Her teaching career began, after gaining a PGCE from Goldsmith's College, University of London, as a peripatetic teacher in both state and independent schools in Harrow and Watford. Here she taught students from the ages of 11 upwards for ABRSM examinations up to diploma level, as well as preparing students for GCSE and A Level recitals. She also prepares advanced students for Conservatoire auditions.

From 2007-2013 she founded and ran The Singing School, Bushey. This was an immediate success focussing on both school age students as well as adults. Julie created a Beginners' Course - a stand-alone 6 session course which took aspiring singers with no training whatsoever through a taster of singing technique. This course was an enormous success and to date over 200 people have taken the course and begun a love of singing! The singing school also gave regular concerts, masterclasses and workshops on technique, performance anxiety and acting for singers. The standard of singers ranged from beginner to advanced.

Julie's current teaching encompasses both one to one lessons as well as giving group lessons and workshops for choirs on the subjects of Vocal Technique, Overcoming Performance Anxiety and facilitating Positive Singing Groups as well as Master Classes.

Due to her increasing singing and teaching commitments Julie now works with advanced students, and has limited daytime availability only.

Julie's teaching style focuses on developing a solid technique, whilst nurturing performance and interpretation skills. A holistic approach to voice production, which empowers the student and allows for experimentation and fun!
